Why It’s Important to Invest Time in Your 20’s

One of the best social platforms for growing your business by far is Instagram. A product of Meta, it can work hand-in-hand with Facebook to reach users on both platforms and get your business in front of the right people, converting them to paying customers.

I have gained dozens of clients from Instagram, doing over $25,000 in sales just from one channel, using a FREE Instagram marketing strategy that you can start doing for your business today! All you need to do is read the rest of this post and you’ll be on your way to growth!

First, you must know who you are trying to target on Instagram. So let’s keep the concept simple and use a popular example to avoid any confusion.

Fitness has been a huge niche on Instagram for years, a lot of people enjoy posting their workouts, progress, supplements, and more. I am sure you are following at least one person who posts fitness related content on Instagram.

Many of these people use hashtags in order to get their post seen by more people than just their followers, in hopes of gaining more likes and followers. One of the most used, #fitness is a hashtag used in almost every fitness and workout post.

If I go to Instagram right now (which I’m going to right as I’m typing this sentence), and go to the hashtag #fitness, there are 510 MILLION posts using this hashtag.

Now, the hashtag #fitness is pretty general, so let’s go even more specific...

Say someone is a Fitness Trainer. They will most likely use the hashtag #fitnesstrainer in their post since it is relevant to who they are. That hashtag currently has 3.5 MILLION posts.

My rule of thumb is that anything over 1 million posts is worth diving into. Keep reading to see exactly what to do with these hashtags.

What does this do for you? It automatically categorizes your target audience into whichever hashtags they are using, giving you the power to find exactly the kind of client or customer that you are looking for.

Once you click on that hashtag, you’ll see it is separated into 3 sections: Top, Recent, and Reels.

“Recent” is your sweet spot. This is because you will see posts just made in recent minutes using that specific hashtag, so you will then find active users on Instagram that are using your targeted hashtag.

From here, the free strategy is to like and comment on any relevant posts that you see. Most of the posts will be relative to the hashtag, but you’ll sometimes see unrelated/spam posts that you should skip right over.

The key here isn’t to look like spam either, there are people doing this same strategy but selling themselves too soon in the comments. You will see a lot of “logo designers” jump right into the comments with spam such as “Need a logo revamp? DM now”. This is the wrong way of doing this strategy, and could even get your account removed by Instagram.

Also, just from a glimpse at the user’s notifications, they will be able to tell you are spam right away.

So what should you do? Actually engage with them. Drop a compliment about their post. This shows you aren’t just going to every comment section, but you’re actually looking at their post and analyzing something about it.

When you do it this way, the person whose post you commented on is more likely to see you as a real page/real business and check out your content. The goal is to get them to your Instagram page, so that they see you offer a service or product that may be helpful to them.

This should result in them browsing your page, clicking your website link, and possibly even sending you a DM in regards to your services. Even if you don’t get a customer out of every interaction, you will definitely see your followers and likes grow.

This in itself is a strategy, because the more followers your business page has, the more likely it is to give a good first impression for anyone visiting your page. A lot of followers (and not following too many) says you are an established, well-known business that others are using/have used in the past.

So there you have it. A free way of growing your business on Instagram. This is something you can do just about any time or any where. Waiting in line somewhere? Pull up Instagram and get to it.

Your potential clients are active all times of the day, but if you can find a time when people are active/posting more than average, I recommend doing it at those times.

If you have time to scroll social media for entertainment, you have time to do this strategy. It can pay off huge. Sometimes all it takes is just liking the right person’s post, and next thing you know, they’re paying for your services.
